Event Description

Are you curious about what goes on before we get to build all those sweet trails? Do ever say to yourself "I'd love to help but I don't know the who, what or where"? Do you have a question as simple as "Where are the trails"? You can get your questions answered and your curiosity satisfied at the monthly Metro Mountain Bikers meeting. 7:00 pm Bennos Bar and Grill 74th and Greenfield West Allis. E-mail me agenda items and I will add them. All are welcome and encouraged to attend.

Little Switzerland ski hill in Slinger, WI Recently Changed ownership. I recently learned that the new manager there also manages Nordic Mountain, the venue that hosts Subaru Cup and features some of the best Ski hill single track in the state. The Slinger/Hartford area is void of any close true and legal trails. I have to drive approx. 40 minutes to New Fane, Northeast of Kewaskum. I talked to Brittany Nigh, one of the main leader of the "G.E.A.R.S." Organization and they feel between New Fane, Greenbush, and now Sunburst they have their plates full with building and maintaining those trails.

Slinger might fall outside of Metro's area but as there is no existing Mountain Bike organization. The formation of a new group would need some assistance and guidance from those already established.

This is still in an idea phase and I want to do things right. I would be willing to lead an organization but I have no "clout".

Thoughts, Feedback, and opinions would be welcomed.
