Permalink Reply by Chris Kostka on September 1, 2010 at 6:32pm I just rode one of the demo bikes at the last odd Tuesday ride, after I rode it they said they would mark it half off. It was an 18 inch Haro Ally SS 29er, originally $750, now I think it's gonna go for a little under $400. The bike rode great and I've already got the wheel-set already seated for you. I think it should be up at the either the Brookfield store or the Delavan location. The thing rode great, I even put up a review for it on MTBR.com under the user name Cobalt512. Great bike at half price.

Permalink Reply by Steveo Hailer on August 25, 2011 at 1:10pm Seems like a very nice bike at an attractive price. The only component I would worry about is the mechanical disc brake. You may find yourself upgrading those sooner that you hoped for. Reviews of that brake say they need adjustment often, I use Avid BB7's mechanical brakes and they need adjustment as well but do deliver some performance if adjusted correctly.
As far as felt MTB goes, never owned one but most of these bikes are made in same factories in asia with Giant, Trek, Felt and others all right next to each other. They all have similar parts to pick from at thier price points and want to make similar profit. Unless you go with something like a BikesDirect Bike or Sette that removes layers of middlemen and dealers, your going to get close to the same thing IMHO.
