Metro Social Events

Metro is seeking to put together more social events for next year and we are looking for your input. Below is a list of ideas on events we could host. If you could respond with what you would be interested in doing and/or with new ideas.

Bike movie – host a movie at a local movie theatre or watch bike videos at establishment

Metro Social rides fall/spring

Scavenger hunt (ask Russell the effort level)

Brewers Tailgate event

Activity with another user groups e.g. trail runners

Tour of bicycle mfg. e.g. Hayes, Waterford, or Ellis?

Clinic - How do you build your own custom bike/spec it out

Clinic – Bike comparison Striders, fat tire, 29 vs 26 inch wheels

Clinic - Get your bike ready for next year or put your bike away from last year suggestion to do this at Dream Bikes

Clinic - Learn how to BMX

Go to Storm the Bastille as a group

Metro discount ski day at the Rock

Ride to watch the polar bike ride

Ride to the lakefront to watch air show

Roller Derby Night Brew City Bruisers

Brewery Tour with Metro (private tours) e.g. Lakefront

Meet for the Rock Bottom Brewery Anniversary release party (Thursday night 6-8pm)

Day on the Trek Trails

Event hosted to honor the Metro volunteers

How about some road trips. Camping trip s in may and june. We could go north to copper harbor and catch trails on the way like, greenbush or evergreen park or bear paw and then camp at bear paw. The next day we go to copper harbor and camp and ride for 3 days and on the way back camp and ride at levis trow. The other route would be hit levis for a couple of days and then go to cuyuna in Minn. Another route would be hit brown county in Indiana and something in Illinois.
