Milwaukee Wisconsin
I'd like to put out some feelers on whether there's interest among Milwaukee area MTBers in forming a "Bike Patrol". The patrol has been active for some time at Southern Kettles and in other parts of the state and with our expanding trail base in town we could consider forming a local patrol. Metro could possibly host/underwrite training and possibly supplies.

Permalink Reply by Mike Crabb on February 14, 2012 at 4:03pm Glad to hear that you have interest in becoming a NMBPatroller. We
NEED more Patrollers!
The Red Cross is one place that offers CPR. It is a sufficient CPR
Training! Their First Aid Training is not very good though, for what
NMBPatrollers come across out on the Trails. O.E.C. (Outdoor Emergency
Care) Training is MUCH better! O.E.C. is the Training that a person must
have to be a National Ski Patroller. The WORBA NMBP requires more than
Basic First Aid. Some O.E.C. Training is required. The WORBA NMBPatrol
offers all the Medical Training needed to individuals who desire joining the
NMBPatrol. These classes start in the Spring, and then we offer refresher
Training Classes several times during the year. There is a cost for the
first class, but no charge for refresher classes after that.
Our next Spring Training Class will be in March, but I do not have a date
secured yet..
We'd Love to have you join US!
Stay in touch, and I can get you the Training Schedule when I have it.
THANKS for your interest!!

I found this group through my interest in joining NMBP in the area. Is there still room for me to attend this session on April 28th? Is it @ the Aurora Sinai location? I have my CPR/AED training completed and I'm good til Apr/2014. Before I moved here, I was a member of SORBA-Woodstock participating in NMBP and trail building @ the Blankets Creek trail system.
Permalink Reply by Charles Ho Fung on April 26, 2012 at 10:15am I forgot to ask what the fee would be and accepted method of payment for the first training class.
Charles,
I am sure there will be room for you. I believe that there is a $25 fee, Metro will reimburse some of the costs for members who become patrollers,
