Wednesday evening ride at Oak Hill was perfect. Hard packed trail, NO mud, no mosquitoes. The new bridge was an unexpected surprise. Thanks for the upgrade, it will make a big difference when the rains come.

It's never to early to start planning for the Midwest Women's Mountain Bike Clinic!

Mark your calendars now! This annual event will take place June 11-12, 2011 Brown County State Park in Nashville, IN. This clinic is open to riders of all skill levels. We've made some changes to the 2011 event, so be sure to check out the event schedule. We're adding an extra 1/2 day of instruction for Intermediate/Advanced gals along with another men's clinic and IMIC certification.

Save the date and hope to see many of you there! Go to www.midwestwomensclinic.com for all the details!
I rode the trail section north from Hampton and looped back to Burleigh road last evening. Trails were fairly dry with a few low lying areas that were a little soft and muddy. One good size tree just south of the big culvert has blocked the trail.

Put the cards in the spokes, strap on your chaps and head over to the:

                           8th ANNUAL

Caledonia Pub Crawl / Bike Ride

A Harley Davidson themed bicycle ride / Poker Run thru Caledonia to see the sites, enjoy some new establishments, and have FUN!

              SATURDAY  AUGUST 27th

START/END:  MOSQUITO INN  (3208 4 Mile rd, Racine)

PROMPT DEPARTURE AT 10:00am (please arrive 9:00am ish)

This year we will expand our horizons to include Franksville in our tour of Caledonia. At each pub when you buy a drink, your card gets stamped. At the end of the ride, if you have 5 stamps you get 2 bonus cards with your poker hand.

JUST $ 5  gets you: dinner (after the ride) of: pizza and chicken, map to follow, entry to win prizes for best Harley themed costume, biking skills contest, best and worst poker hands, beer at the rest stop, and so much revved up fun you wont want to go home!!!

Non biker/drivers are very welcome and are encouraged to come! Drivers/motorcyclists can win prizes, but not the 2 bonus cards (this is primarily a bicycling event after all!).

With 5 pubs, a park stop, and the skills contest, it’s a leisurely tour returning to Mosquito Inn around 6pm for dinner with a total mileage of less than 22 miles- even the beginners can handle this one! So find that old Harley gear with the patches and ride the bikes with us!!

I'm thinking about doing a CASUAL paced night ride this Sunday (10/9/11) in Tosa. Hoyt, Bubba's and Oak Hill. Leaving from Tosa village bridge at 6:30. A good, first night ride route. Lights and helmets. Not an official club event--Marty 414-704-6350
I rode the entire trail system last evening from north of Hampton to the village. Track was dry and firm. Quite a few fresh fallen leaves made for a couple of surprise roosters but all in all not too bad. Hats off to the trail grunts who have made this the best off road ride in Milwaukee county.  Cheers and thanks!

Umpteenth Annual Turkey Hurl-- Thurs. Thanksgiving Night. 8 PM, Club Tap, 88th and North in Tosa. 2+ hour night MTB ride on the Meno River trails. Helmet, lights, skills required.
